Background:
Welfare Organization Rehabilitation Livelihood & Development (WORLD) officially registered in 2013 with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan under license numbers 2871 and 562, stands as a beacon of hope and resilience in the heart of Afghanistan. This national, non-profit, and non-governmental organization carries a profound vision of transforming Afghan society into a poverty-free, empowered, and independent community that upholds essential values. WORLD’s overarching goal is to propel Afghanistan towards rehabilitation, prosperity, and sustainable development, with a primary focus on enhancing the quality of life for its citizens. This vision particularly centers on empowering the most marginalized and vulnerable sections of society, steering them toward the path of modernity and progress. Afghanistan, a nation fraught with challenges and a lack of stability in various fields, is further burdened by deep-seated gender inequalities. The country is struggling to unleash its full potential and grapple with its complex societal issues. The oppression of women and girls, deeply rooted in cultural norms, poses a formidable barrier to the nation’s progress. WORLD has taken upon itself the mission to liberate these marginalized, vulnerable, and poverty-stricken segments of Afghan society. The organization believes in providing both immediate and lasting solutions to the multitude of challenges that the country faces. Recognizing the scale of these issues, WORLD acknowledges that the government alone cannot address them effectively. Thus, it seeks the crucial support of the private sector and foreign donors to invest in a nation ripe with potential and determined to compete on a global stage. WORLD’s mission goes beyond a mere vision; it is a heartfelt commitment to usher Afghanistan into an era of promise and prosperity. With a deep understanding of the geographical, geopolitical, social, religious, and cultural intricacies of the country, WORLD is dedicated to unshackling the nation from the clutches of tyrants who have held it back for decades. With a strong presence within the Afghan community, WORLD boasts a team of experts, valuable resources, and extensive networks in both the public and private sectors. Most importantly, it is fortified by the unwavering dedication of community volunteers who are eager to contribute to their nation’s development, prosperity, and the realization of the fundamental rights of every citizen, with a special emphasis on women, girls, and children. WORLD stands as a testament to the resilience and determination of the Afghan people, poised to reshape their nation’s future and create opportunities for all its inhabitants. With its unwavering vision and resolute mission, WORLD is a driving force for change in Afghanistan, working tirelessly to bring about a brighter and more promising tomorrow.
